Human papillo virus....i have this, it is the virus that causes genital/anal warts and is linked to cervical cancer. I have yearly scans as I am in my 50's and deemed 'susceptible' . I also have several small fibroids, resolved cysts and have had two polyps removed. I recently had an adhesiolysis to remove lesions/scar tissue from uterus, bladder and bowels. I wouldn't say im in severe pain but its constant and somedays its worse than others. Pain is situated in lower back, groin and lower belly feels like i'm carrying a brick there. I get 'by' with a daily combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen, only take my prescribed naproxen when i cant 'function'. Hate taking medication at the best of times, but need to be able to live a relatively normal life.

Oh forgot to mention that 5 yrs ago i had mirena coil fitted to help with my extremely heavy flow and 3 yrs later had to have it surgically removed as it had 'migrated' and had started to 'embed' in the wall of my uterus.

Im still seeing my gynae - but he seems to be running out of ideas. Half of me wants to ask for a total hysterectomy because im just sick and tired of it all - but these days this is classed as a 'last resort' and my gynae thinks this is just too drastic and my issues can be resolved 😐
