Left side pain

I've been having a pain in my lower left side for over a year now it goes away and comes back and everytime I go visit the doctors the pain has gone. It's a uncomfortable pain can't stay at piece when I have it.

Could someone please help me?

Hi Holly sorry dont have any answers for you because I dont have any myself. I too have lower left sided pain but mine is pelvic region, it gets worse when I stand and is unbearanle when I sit. I have had all sorts of investigation's but am going to see consultant on Monday, You could try keeping a pain diary there is one on one of the pelvic pain websites that might help when jou visit the gp, it will help you lisg and identify when and where pain originates. Www.pelvic pain.org you will have to google it but it is there to download. Hope this helps and good luck it really does get you down and you start to believe your making it up. Dear Holly, it could be the bowel? left side is the large bowel...that would require a scan to show up the whole of the colon ..divatular pockets come and we do not always know about them ..I had a 2 year off on pain excruciating at times and through the scan found I had the problem divatular which requires stricter diet to help flare ups of inflamation..somtimes antibiotics ......hope this is helpful to you ....Good Luck Margaret xx

Hi holly im 28 and I have been suffering constant pain in all areas as well as the lower left side of my abdomen there is several things that can cause that pain which is why I sugest that you demand tests for all causes im still having trouble getting the help I need and my pain is unbearable nothing works for me . Ask your doctor to test for everything possible .thats all I can say.
