Gabapentan/neurotonin

i am having a real time with lower back pain. It feels like it is a nerve as it really hurts after five minutes of sitting. I am fine walking, standing, and not too bad sleeping on my back. I have had spinal issues before and was on gabapentan. I know it does not cause liver issues and does not react with URSO. Has anybody else with PBC taken this as a nerve blocker? I am not home to ask my doctors….

I am prescribed 300mg twice a day as part of a treatment to control the itch of PBC.

Perhaps a pharmacist near where you are staying can answer your concerns if no one else on this page can help. Is there a good chiropractor in the area who could free up your lower back?

Hope you get it sorted soon.

I am actually in the US (I live in Canada), but, prior to being diagnosed, i went to a chiropractor as i had taken a fall and twisted my back. Before i left home, I had had 14 adjustments. So….but thank you. I never thought about itching…..does it help?

Yes it has helped with the itch but it was a long road to get to the current mix of medication which gives me peace.Compliments of the festive season to you.

I am on Gebapentin to. Presently trying twice a day with 25mg of hydroxyzine. Barely keeps it uder control. May switch to a drug in the same family. Lyrica. Pharmacist said your body gets used to a drug so much that it becomes ineffective.
