Recurrent vaginal yeast infection, Yeast infection diet.

I am interested in personal experiences with this diet. I am kind of desperate. It's been almost 8 months of treatment and although there is an improvement with boric acid, it is not totally cured. I also use organic propolis, C vitamin, omega 3, cranberry supplements, probiotics, D vitamin.

This is strictly from my own experience. Nothing had any noticeable effect, except for cutting refined sugar.

How long the sugar-free diet should last? Or how long have you been on a sugar-free diet before seeing any result? Have you started eating sugar again? I have not eaten any sugar in the last 5 five weeks (except for pomegranates, some slices of kiwi and oranges, blueberry, one tablespoon of raw honey), gluten, dairy, potatoes, and similar aliments forbidden in this diet. I also use boric acid ovules. I see an improvement, but still, it is not totally cured. I also use organic propolis, C vitamin, omega 3, cranberry supplements, probiotics, D vitamin. Thank you!

You are way ahead of me. I was never on such a strict and healthy diet. I didn't eat any refined sugar or honey for at least a year. Generally, I try to eat as less sugar as possible. It's hard, because I love sweets. I eat fresh or frozen berries and some green apples. Having low-sugar diet helped, but, it didn't cure me. I have a chronic glabrata yeast infection - the hardest type of candida to treat. I hope you have better luck and get well soon!

Try figuring out your body’s ph level. And work with that. Maybe try to cut out foods high in yeast…. Cauliflower and vinegar…. You can buy ph strips s

on Amazon.

Good Morning...urrrrrr, yeast infections seem to be relentless. I went on a candida diet a few years back...very strict. Hard to believe all the things I could not have, but I did it. I actually felt better afterwards. As far a vaginal yeast infections go, I too use the boric acid, but find it works best with using one in the morning, one at night. I used it for about 3 -4 weeks everyday and had success. It sounds like you are on the right track with your cranberry caps, probiotics, and low glycemic fruits. I use a probiotic for older women that has strains especially for vaginal ph. Do you consumer dairy, vinegar, mustard, potatoes, rice???? These all convert to sugar... I used to work with a nurse who swore by yogurt for yeast infections. She wouldn't eat it, but actually applied into the vagina...it worked for her. Hope you find some relief soon...Be well...Micheline

Hi! How long were you on the candida diet? I do not consume dairy, vinegar, mustard, any sauces, potatoes, rice, bread, pastry, etc. I am hungry all the time because I cannot consume dairy (lactose intolerance), broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, beans, etc. (irritable bowel syndrome). My meals consist mostly of eggs, avocado, quinoa, chicken, lamb, salmon, yogurt (sometimes kefir), gluten-free oat (I am boiling and eating it as such), one coffee per week (decaf mostly), artichoke, small amounts of carrot, ginger, echinacea, and turmeric tea. I tried cinnamon tea, 2 liters of coconut oil (I ate it all in 3 months), raw garlic for two weeks, but my stomach got upset. I do not know if raw honey is good. Some say it is ok, others that it is not. I use 7 ovules of boric acid after my period and 1 weekly (around 50-60 ovules by now). I cannot use them twice a day because of the side effects (burning, itching, hives). As far as I know, boric acid helps to fix the pH inside vagina.

I was on the candida diet about 2 months. it was hard. I know you cannot have grains or any sugar, even honey, or alcohol sugars. Are you able to use one boric acid cap for the days you are having your period? Have you seen a doctor to determine if it is more than a yeast infection? I will sometimes get a horrible burning feeling. At first I thought is was a UTI, but turned out to be vaginitis. I use the boric acid to alleviate those symptoms. I use a vaginal cream for drones and have used the boric acid at the same time with no issues. I sure hope you get some answers. Oh...do they have nut based yogurts there? Great source of extra probiotics. Not knowing which probiotics you can get, make sure they have something in them for vaginal support.

Last year, in March, I had a test done, and it indicated Candida (because of antibiotics). I got treated then and symptoms disappeared. In April, I started taking Visanne, and in June the symptoms started again and since then, I tried many conventional treatments. As a last resort, the doctor gave boric acid ovules. In November, I had another test, and it was negative, no infection or something similar, but after one week, after my period passed, the symptoms returned. And when the doctor was checking there, I felt pain. I went to the doctor every month for the last 5 months, and he said it is getting better. This week I had another cervix test and the result should come in the next two days. He said it is almost cured, but he said the same 6 weeks ago. I have no symptoms now (the last 4 weeks), but when he said that there are still some signs, it made me feel discouraged, desperate. I cannot use the ovules while I am having period. I use 7 after my period and 1 the other weeks. Also, inside my vagina there is a whitish coating, but it won't clean. It seems like the color of the skin turned a little white. I do not know what this means. I used around 50-60 boric acid by now. Maybe it is because of this, or it might be the yeast infection. But I had no symptoms at all.

Wow! You have been through a lot! I wonder if it's like a mouth thrush, but vaginally.....I know b12 is suppose to help that. Might fo some research. All I know is that women's bodies are complex!

Guess what, I am planning having a baby, and I've been taking folic acid and B12 since November. That's why I am so stressed. I do not know why it is so difficult to cure. I am using probiotic pills. I drank kefir. I ate garlic. I hope this diet will work.
