I Got this information from google Augmentin safe in liver disease?
Serious liver disease such as acute liver failure and chronic hepatitis with cirrhosis mostly occur in patients who continue the drug despite developing hepatitis. Augmentin. Augmentin is a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. ... Augmentin has been reported to cause cholestasis with or without hepatitis.
Hope it helps but phone your surgery and ask them to be on the safe side
Good luck hope you feel better 💖
Hi I was given Augmentin and I got cholestasis. My bloods went through the roof but did return to normal within a couple of weeks. Not the same for everyone but be careful if you take it and stop straight away if you start to feel poorly and see a doctor.
My mum who also has pbc had a really bad reaction from this medication and ended up unwell for months with jaundice
