ALT or ALT: I am confused most people on here... - PBC Foundation
ALT or ALT
That was supposed to be ALP v ALT
Yea, it's weird. And now I'm always concerned about my ALP. What's really important is Albumin, Bilirubin and of course Alt and Ast too. A low Albumin and high Bilirubin is not great.
This taken from the PBC Foundation web site
Laboratory features
Biochemistry & Haematology PBC is a cholestatic liver disease in which there is disproportionate elevation of the ALP and GGT. There may be moderate elevation of the ALT or AST but very high transaminases should raise suspicion...
hope that helps, more info is on their app
Don’t confused ! Alt is equally important as alp along with Ast and bilirubin..if ur alt is the only one going up than it can be the liver inflammation or flare. Good luck
thanks for that I have been having a little discomfort in the area of my liver recently its just strange that most people on the site report ALP which is why i was a little concerned. just sole destroying when I've been so kind to my liver this year it has decided to flare up, I'm 10years into diagnoses and been stable until now.
