Elevated AST, ALT and cholesterol

Hello! What causes liver enzymes to change within two weeks? I had blood work on 2/12 and the AST, ALT and ALP were normal, but my LDL and thyroid were elevated. On 2/24, I repeated all labs and now my AST, ALT, LDL and HDL are elevated. I was diagnosed with a fatty liver back in November and during that time the doctor ordered Hep c, ASMA, AMA and ANA (1.80 titer) labs that came back normal. I went to the doctor today and she’s repeating the labs and ordered a ultrasound. I’m very concerned and hope it’s notbing.

If you took Tylenol or had alcohol

it could have caused the elevation.

I did Advil Migraine a few days last week and I ate fried foods on my lunch break.

I wouldnt think fried food has anything to do with it

Do you know what the numbers are for the elevated test results. I’m taking steroids and my cholesterol is going up too

Hello. Are you saying your ANA titer is 1:80? That’s high. Mine was 1:60 & should be <1:40 Try not panic until she runs labs again😊

Only wish I knew the answer mine have been all over the place for the past 8 years. ALT seems to be one of the reading my hepatologist is concerned with I know alcohol raised it and diet too. Think anything that is a toxin effects the liver as its function is to clear toxins from the body. I have very little alcohol (special occasions maybe) and try to eat a healthy diet cut down on bread, fatty foods ,red meat etc. My levels since my healthy living have been stable and ALT back down to almost normal. I am one of the lucky ones that Urso works for me. Good luck hope you get sorted

I don’t understand….doesn’t your doctor tell your pharmacy how much you should have? It goes by your weight, 13-15 g/kg.
