It’s hard to navigate this site some times, I can’t find threads that give tips on lowering enzymes closer to normal. There was one but I lost it when I relogged on.
If anyone has a list of things they’ve done that have lowered their liver enzymes and reduced inflammation that causes our biliary tube linings to disintegrate and reduce our immune response, please respond here.
Also our kidneys, how many of you also have kidney stones and or a twisted right kidney. I do and it aches. I took some Chinese yam powder and I think I passed my 5 kidney stones 2 months ago. I think they came back but my Chinese Doc is on vacation so I can’t get a refill for 5 days.

For myself a change in eating habits was the best benefit. I now eat a diet rich in vegetables and fruits chicken and fish. Rarely do I eat red meat and I have radically reduced the amount of bread rice pasta and potatoes. I no longer drink anything fizzy like cola or any other sweetened drinks. I used to have mayonaise with salads but have substituted that with oil vinegar and hummus. Overall because of the change in diet over 2 years I have lost 20kilos in weight which I guess helps fatty liver if I had/have it.
As far as I know there are no issues with my kidneys.
Same for me as for ButterflyEi, except no animal products at all for me, and weight loss 10 kg in 11 months. I sometimes eat bread, sourdough, tho try to limit this to two days a week and in mornings. The earlier I eat in the day, the easier it seems for my body.
I had ultrasound scan of liver kidneys and spleen last week. I don't yet have results but hoping they are fine.
I don't know this site well, but if you ask a direct question, you dont need to find a thread, you will almost certainly get answers.
I too hope this helps you.
I eat a balance diet I’ve not really cut anything out except having IBS symptoms, I don’t eat wheat or sorbitol containing foods. I was found to be deficient in vitamin D, my numbers improved when I started taking it, and I lost some weight that put me on the optimum dose of urso. I have a kidney cyst, in the left side but its unrelated to pbc, and it’s monitored annually.
Hiya, I take a herbal tincture made up for me by a herbalist which includes milk thistle, rose, scullcap, schisandra, lavender, camomile and Passion flower. Not sure of quantities as it’s a herbal mix made by a qualified herbalist, but it seems to help.
efore I was diagnosed I followed Dr. Sandra Cabots liver diet - I baffled the doctors for a long time because my enzymes kept going up and down - so I guess her diet worked very well.
I too did Dr Cabot's liver cleanse and have been on it almost 2 years. My alk/phos went into the normal zone in September. The other 2 liver enzymes went normal right away.
I don't eat gluten, dairy or processed foods. Saw my new liver doctor yesterday and she was pleased.
I personally have suffered from kidney stones. After a recommendation by a friend to take natural vitamins and supplements, I haven't had any stones or UTIs, thankfully for over 2 years now. The supplement I have been taking has been very effective indeed
I use this product by EU Natural called Stonebreaker. The best part is it's completely natural and cleanses the kidneys and bladder of any impurities, stones and inflammations. It truly saved me
