PBC and liver stones

Is there anyone else who has PBC and also has a liver that makes stones. Had my gallbladder out 47 years ago. Liver now makes stones which become lodged high up in the ducts.

I’d like to know how many of us with PBC also have this problem?

Hi Jean, I do not have that problem and I did have my gallbladder removed about 5 years ago. I'm sorry to hear your liver is producing stones. I don't have much to offer information wise but showing my support for you.

What test show liver stone? I had my gallbladder removed 4 yrs ago due to sludge. There is a supplement called StoneFree by iHerb. Some bloggers said it's effective for purging gallstone. Wish I knew that before the gallbladder surgery.

Tests that show liver stones are ultrasound, ERCO, and CT scans. Docs also like MRI’s. However I also have a Pacemaker so they can not do an MRI

I spent a couple of days in the hospital because I was really in pain. Had an ERCP and IV antibiotics then home with antibiotics. Feel much better. Pain is gone.
