Aih/pbc
I dont have the overlap, but i am just back from a doctor appointment and they were saying that soluble vitamin deficiencies - a logical side effect of liver disease - can impair your vision. This can be detected from a blood test. I think it was Vitamin A deficiency that makes it hard to see at night? A few on here have Sjogren’s disease which causes dry eyes which can make your vision seem impaired. Hope this is helpful.
I use eye drops and an eye bag warmed in the microwave which I find soothing but only occasionally have blurryness.
I have suffer from a sensitivity to bright light, and can’t drive at night but never related it to pbc.
My vison started deteriorating when I started taking prednisone for AiH. My vision has never gotten better since going off the prednisone 9 months ago.
Hi mine is inflamation on the eye and very sensative to the lighy. Not good at night driving
Hi,
I also have low vitamin D, but I'm not sure it's related to my eye problems. I have dry eyes and also bouts of itchy goopy eyes due to allergies, however the allergy related eye drops rarely help. I felt certain I had Sjogren's but I was tested and didn't have it. I have "flare ups" several times a year that are dreadful and definitely cause blurred vision, but haven't been diagnosed with any additional autoimmune disease.
Forgot to mention that my inflammation has been awful at times and my eye doc gave me fluorometholone drops for short term use and it helped me immediately. Its a steroid drop and she really doesn't like to use it often, but it has very beneficial for me.
