Anyone on URSO experiencing oily skin since starting the medication?

Hi Leeanne83, I’ve only used urso for 4 months but can’t say I’ve noticed oily skin.

Thank you for your reply. What about itching? For the last 2 days my legs have become really itchy.

I suffer really badly with itchy legs but if you contact your consultant he/she will prescribe you medication that can really help calm it. I usually take a cool shower and find patting rather than scratching can also help.

Your gp or consultant can give meds for pbc itch have you joined the PBC FOUNDATION UK you will always get best up to date accurate advice from them . Also they have a survey to fill in about pbc itch to aid research into this awful part of pbc .

for me it is the other way round, after 16 plus years my skin is drier than it was.

If the itch becomes to much to cope with there are medications to help you which can be prescribed by your consultant.

My current medication to control the itch is a mixture of rifampicin, sertraline and gabapentin however cholestyramine or cholestagel are usually the first go to as this will often settle the itch.

Rumour has it that there are new medications coming in the not too distant future to help us with the itch.

I’ve been on Urso since 2019. No issues whatsoever and my numbers are now normal.
