Has anyone experienced a red, splotchy, skin rash & is this normal for PBC? It does not itch, burn, etc., or bother me at all. It is sporadic, comes & goes, for the last 6 months & is only on my torso.
Skin Rash: Has anyone experienced a red... - PBC Foundation
Skin Rash
No cant say have experienced that have had what looked like bites at start before was diagnosed was told it was folliculitis from all scratching was doing but these did eventually disappear. Maybe worth getting it checked out with your dr. Best of luck.
I have a large number of plaques on my torso and back.. They've put it down to psoriasis. But to me they all arrived around the same time as the other symptoms which led to pbc diagnosis.. Alongside this I often feel as if insects are biting me and am left with hives.. It's crap being us sometimes
Hi Jpmac welcome to the site. Have you been referred to dermatology re the plaques? If not perhaps ask GP to do this for you so you get appropriate treatment. The itch you get from PBC can feel like bites or something crawling under your skin. You can get medication to help with this called Questran the Light formula is best. I have been on it for 11yrs and it does help with the itch. Also if you click on my icon I have written on there in previous posts things I have found have helped and things that have made the itch worse over the yrs. Good luck hope you get answers and things to help alleviate or lessen the itch soon. Life can be awful living with it 24/7.
