Tired...

Hello, I was diagnosed 4 years ago with PBC, have AIH also so I'm on Prednisone along with Urso BID. The steroid wipes out my immune system and I'm a pediatric nurse so unfortunately I'm sick all the time. Pneumonia 2x last winter, strep 3x so far this year. I'm very fatigued but make it through the day if I can nap about 5-10 minutes in middle of day. So that's my life but we must just carry on.

A difficult mixture for you especially working with children. I always find if the grandchildren are about with something then it replicates in me twice as bad. Just an idea to try, it was used by a nursing friend of mine. Through winter she always had a hankie in her pocket which she dampened regularly through the day with Olbas oil. I think these days you can buy an inhaler. She would breath from the hankie regularly. Never knew her to have a cold, flu or strep throat. I appreciate she did not have a compromised immune system however anything is worth a try.
