Do you need to tell you mortgage if you get pbc

We moved house a few years after my diagnosis and in the process of getting the new mortgage I had to tell them, so they sent a nurse around for an assessment, it ended up I couldn't get life insurance, but I wouldn't have divulged the information otherwise!

Here in Australia there is no requirement, for a life insurance policy when taking on a home mortgage - I am single, have a mortgage, and do not have a Life Insurance Policy. The only insurance required by the bank/lender is a 'House' insurance policy which covers the loss of the house through, fire, flood etc. I don't know which country you live in, but here we do have some life insurance policies that don't require medical histories - not sure if there is an 'age' criteria attached to these types of policies though - they may cost more, but may be worth checking to see if they are available in your country.
