I would not stop B12 injections .

When you have finished taking antibiotics , it would be good to treat your gut to some probiotics , to re-establish your stomach flora , which will have been upset by the anti-biotics.

There’s a large choice of how to do this Symprove a water based liquid , various makes of probiotic capsules or natural probiotics . ( Real yoghurt . kimchi , sauerkraut , and my favourite Kefir , preferably home -made , )

I hope that you are taking a daily 400 mcg folic acid tablet , or better still , plenty of folate rich fruit and veg I know it’s difficult if you have no appetite .

Sorry that you are feeling so unwell. Hope that your GP can help — Best wishes.

One of the best things l did was to learn how to make Kefir, so easy and so good for the gut. Because it’s full fat milk kefir, I take my vitamin D with it and also mix my Magnesium Synergy powder in it. It can even be flavoured with fruit etc and even made into yogurt, haven’t done that yet though.

I always make kefir with full fat organic milk . It’s so easy to make. And superior to shop bought . Kefir’s so called “grains “ are descendants of “grains “ from thousands of years ago! I find that fascinating ! Definitely have existed for over 4,000 years . Good idea to take your vitamin D with it .

Just a thought, Andypandy - only because you mentioned appetite being poor. Have you been checked for Covid ? Just lately it is getting mentioned again, seems to have increased in cases although generally does not seem as strong as previously (glad to say).

I believe I had Covid a couple of times fairly recently - symptoms not as severe as before so did not recognise it as anything worse than perhaps flu -until loss of smell and taste, which lasted a few weeks. I am also better at getting better these days !

Worth ruling out.
