Filter needles for methylcobalamin

Do you use filter needles to draw up your B12? If so, where do you get them? I just received my dry methylcobalamin and normal saline ampules, and I mixed it up but then I started to worry about drawing up glass in the syringe. I'm not sure how likely this is. Is it a big risk to do it without a filter needle?

I have used them in the past . but the risk is negligible. Obtainable from medisave.co.u.k.

Usually the saline comes in plastic ampoules. Were yours in glass ampoules?

I use an ampoule snapper to open my b12 ampoules now , which breaks the ampoule very cleanly without making any glass shards .That was when I stopped using filter needles to withdraw the B12 . They are expensive.

Yes, my ampoules are glass. I didn't know ampoule snappers existed! I might have to get one.

Ampoule snappers are great . Saves getting a very nasty cut There are different models on Amazon .

First time hearing of these. I looked at amazon. Many models and no idea which to choose. Is there a type people here think is best?

Blue snapit ampoule opener . Mine is in metal , but now they only have plastic ones .

Medisave have safety needles. I use red top.

I ordered the one ampoule snapper that comes tomorrow. No reviews on any of the snappers but this one covers the stem, so that looked good to me.

This should be a help and maybe later I can just use a towel. I've only used the vial with the membrane in the past.
