not having the best luck getting needles in California. btw, California requires no prescription. was there a US based pernicious anemia group?
anyway, amazon has plenty of needles but usually from off brands. not sure i want to try that. allegro health has been very slow answering any questions. and their answers are ...rushed and not definitive imo. tiger medical sent me needles with no tracking. they sat on my doorstep for 3 days and were stolen. that took about a month from ship date to investigation to refund.
looking at buy-otc.com, vitalitymedical.com
looking for filter needles for draw and then some subcutaneous. luer lock.
Hi, I'm here in the US. I got my needles from my pharmacy when I ordered my first prescription of B12. I don't remember how much they cost, but they weren't very expensive.
Reliable and inexpensive source I use online is Shopmedvet.com.. I buy the BD luerlok tip #309581 and extra needles #305125. Once you know the BD size/model that you prefer, an easy search for online vendors is possible. I have even bought on ebay. I found my pharmacy charged the most.
Doesn't CA have needle exchange programs for addicts? I remember reading something about it. If it's that easy for non medical use to obtain them you should be able to as well.
Perhaps start with your pharmacy and explain you are self administering it. They may be able to help you. It is prescription here in PA, and they just provided me with syringes and needles for each injection.
yeah, each state has it's own rules on needles. i should have asked the pharmacist when i was in last. i can find them online...but i don't know the reputation of the site. rolling the dice. review sites are often unreliable. already had one sloppy experience.
I'm in California and buy from Allegro. They have been very good! Just go to their site, pick what you want--order that and done deal. Before I was buying from them, if I needed a few--particularly to draw from the vial--CVS pharmacy said if I brought in my B-12 perscription bottle they would sell me what I needed. I'm a Army Veteran and the VA supplies some of my B-12 and just the needles for the B-12 they supply. I always use a different needle for the injection than I use for the 'draw' from vial. Hope that helps.
