Hi.

hoping to fly to Greece next month. Does anyone have experience of customs reactions to needles and cobalamin in cases or hand luggage?

Thanks.

You should be fine. Lots of people report never having any issues eg healthunlocked.com/pasoc/po...

I do very frequent injections so often travel with large quantities in both hand & checked luggage and never had issues within europe, including greece, turkey, spain, uk, etc.

I don't even take the b12 out as a liquid & security has never questioned it.

One thing you might consider is to put the b12 in a small cooler with ice packs (not touching, so the b12 doesn't freeze). Greece can get exceptionally warm in the summer & you don't want to cook the b12 in transit. Pre-sealed ice packs will normally go through security without issues.

Have a good trip!

I took all my supplements and 30 syringes from Scotland to London then to Boston three weeks ago in my personal carry on bag.

I separated the liquids per requirements.

The liquids were quickly scanned in Scotland.

It was no problem.

Thanks WIZARD.

So: syringes and pills in carry on and liquid in hold luggage?

Sorry for not being clear. All supplements were in my personal carry-on bag. I separated out the liquids and the powders into separate baggies. The third baggie had my syringes Band-Aids alcohol swabs.

i flew from Amsterdam to london and back. Had my syringes, needles and b12 vials in my hand luggage. Not a problem at all. Wasn’t even asked about it. Was quite shocked but also pleased!

I've had a sealed, small ice pack taken off me at airport security in Birmingham, it was for my child's food. I don't know if they'd look differently upon it if it's for medication, but food for a 5 year old with allergies didn't cut it

Thanks for warning Sunnysidoop. Are such things allowed in the hold do you know?
