Hello everyone,

Although B6 is very important to the operation of B12, there are risks to having an excess of it: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK5... including neuropathy. Why not get your B6 levels tested and then decide if you need to supplement or not.
As a PhD in Clinical Biochemistry, I can see no harm in taking oral B6 alongside your B12 injections, provided it is under 1000mg per day. The body excretes excess B6, so it’s actually quite difficult to overdose on it. But the question is, why are you taking it? There’s no need unless, as Technoid says, your levels have been tested and found to be deficient. Otherwise you’re just wasting money on unnecessary tablets.
Most research sources show that 1000mg of B6 a day would be considered toxic.
I suggest you look up B6 toxicity. I developed it from taking B complex with only 50 mg of B6 in it.
It can take between 15-25 day to get rid of excess B6
What level of serum indicated toxicity please?
I’d been taking the b complex for nearly three months. Level was never tested .
Completely agree.
