Due to inexperience and general ignorance, I have ordered 2ml ampoules instead of the 1ml. Is there any reason why you shouldn’t inject the full 2ml at one go? I am very new to all this. I have already purchased the ampoules from Amazon.de and needles and 2ml syringes from Medicare. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Apologies if this subject has already been covered elsewhere on this site, but I wasn’t able to find anything relevant to my query.

B12 Depot Hevert Ampoules
Hi Bassettbabe,
Welcome, please do use the whole 2mls for the full dose of B12.
I have used both Helvert 2mls and Panpharma 1ml due to shipping to U.K. and Brexit They both have the same amount dose of vitamin B12.
Advice: inject the solution at your own comfort just because it’s more and it’s renowned for being an ‘uncomfortable/can sting etc.
Hope that helps and best wishes.
Thank you Narwhal10, my order is on its way and will be with me in a week. In the meantime I am reading all things self injecting and watching any online videos on the subject I can find. It will be my first experience of SI and am feeling a bit anxious, but now realise that I need to take responsibility for my own health issues as my faith in our NHS service is dwindling daily. Your encouragement and support is very much appreciated.
It sounds as if you ordered the Hevert 1mg x2ml ampoules . If so , that exactly the same dose as the popular Panpharma 1mg x 1ml ampoule . No difference except it’s twice the amount of liquid . They are the same ampoules that I ordered when i first self-injected . They are absolutely fine and work well . Yes , you inject all 2ml at once . All the very best for your self-injections ! You are doing the best thing for your health . I’ll send you a few tips .
I ordered from here recently too as it was my first time ordering the ampoules too. If doing subcutaneous injections just make sure you inject 2” away from the belly button and rotate the injection sites and inject it slowly. Hope all goes well. Good luck.
Hi - I’m not a medical expert, but want to add a note in case it’s helpful. My first prescribed injections contained lidocaine and were painless. I found I could order ampules of lidocaine from the German pharmacies & now add this to my injections as some formulas can sting a bit.
Hi BassettbabeI ordered these in error. You use the whole ampoule as 1ml is saline on 1ml B12. The only difference I have found is that 2ml takes longer to inject the fluid into the body. I therefore prefer the 1ml ampoule.
Hope you get on OK.
I have used 2ml before but its not recommended for regular injection. 2ml is only suitable for injection in the vastus lateralis (thigh) and so arms should not be used for 2ml.
2mls is fine but only for infrequent injections into the thigh
