Versandapo have them in stock at the moment. I received some last week.

Thank you. So they can deliver to the UK? I'm looking at it and they say 'the address should be in Germany'.

Did you take a different delivery route?

Yes, they do deliver to the UK. Once registered and logged in, I pay with paypal, no problem. There is a detailed post on here somewhere by wedgewood about how to order and ship to the UK, but I can't find it right now. A search should give you the info 😊

The following reliable German online Pharmacies (all registered with the German Health Authorities ) will deliver VitaminB12 Depot ( Hydroxocobalamin)single use ampoules to the U.K.

vesandapo.de( in Leipzig) Site is in German . Use Google Chrome for translation . This is usually the best value pharmacy. U.K. is “Vereinigtes Königreich”

Courier cost €9.99

apohealth.de ( in Munich) Site available in English . (Union flag , bottom left on my device .)

Courier cost €20.00 for 10 packets . Lower cost for fewer packets .

apotheke-marienbrunn.de( in Leipzig) Use Google Chrome for translation . Also deliver to Australia , New Zealand and USA . Drop-down country list is in German and U.K. is called

“Vereinigtes Königreich Großbritannien und Nordirl”

juvalis.de Use Google Chrome for translation

fixmedika.de obtainable in English ( but delivery costs €45.00 !!!!!!)

First of all register with the pharmacy .

When filling out the address form, you will see that the country is already filled out with Deutschland / Germany .You must first change that to your own country by using the drop-down list to — U.K., United Kingdom , Vereinigtes Königreich, Grossbrittanien .etc — however it is expressed.Do this so that your post-code and the rest of your address is accepted . Otherwise, you will be unable to order , and you will be tearing your hair out

amazon.de also sell Pascoe and Hevert . But depending on the supplying pharmacy, may or may not supply to the U.K. You can’t use the Pharmaceutical reference numbers to order from amazon.de . You must use the brand names .

B12 ampoules are only allowed to be sold by pharmacies in Germany , so Amazon is so to speak a go -between .

The following brands are usually available.

PANPHARMA ( formerly Rotexmedica)

1mg x 1 ml ampoules b12 DEPOT ( Hydrocobalamin)

Packet of 10

Pharmaceutical reference number 16199653

Most popular ampoule . Good value , but often out of stock .

PASCOE b12 DEPOT packet of 10 —1.5mg x 1ml ampoules

Reference no. 07568672

Packets of 10 x 10 ( 100 ampoules ) Reference no.07568695

The Pascoe are much cheaper per packet if you buy the offer of 10 packets . If you inject weekly or more frequently, you will be covered . Otherwise , some ampoules may become out of date .

HEVERT B12 DEPOT 1mg x 2ml ampoules 1 packet of 10 reference no. 06078368

HEVERT B12 DEPOT 1mg x 2ml 10 packets (100 ampoules ) Reference no. 06078380

Use the Pharmaceutical Reference numbers to order from the pharmacies, it’s easier , but not if buying from amazon.de

The above brands also produce Cynocobalamin B12 single use ampoules. They are cheaper than Hydroxocobalamin., but reputed not to stay in the system as long. Fine to use as long as the patient does not suffer from the rare eye-condition called LEBERS. Cynocobalamin is widely used in the USA I do not have the Pharmaceutical reference numbers for the Cynocobalamin ampoules.. Cynocobalamin is referred to as vitamin B12. Hydroxocobalamin is referred to as vitamin B12 depot.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING .

Now that the U.K. has left the EU , there is a limit to the value of goods that we can order before tax is due .Tax is applicable if the value exceeds £135.00 ( roughly €158.00 at todays rates — look it up to make sure ) Value does include delivery cost ! On top of that , Royal Mail charges £8.00 for handling.

I’m not sure how much the tax is , so please look it up .A member was quite shocked at what she had to pay when she exceeded the limit . YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

With best wishes .

I just ordered 100 ampules of Pascoe 1500mcg/ml hydroxo from Amazon.de. Versanpo was out of stock at the time but appears to be back today. Amazon was more expensive with $ 30 USD shipping, but hydroxo is still impossible to get in the USA.

Hi there, I'm in the US also and am looking at these as it's expensive ordering methylcobalamin from Agelessrx $90 for a 10ml vial with the syringes, needles etc included.

I really need to be doing a shot at least twice a week. I have a question for you. Are the ampules glass and how do you avoid getting any in the liquid when you snap the top off or are they capped, I guess I'd need some longer needles than the half inch ones to draw the liquid out?

Thanks in advance

wedgewood in reply toGrundle_Jones

I use an ampoule cutter which does an excellent job ,makes a clean cut without making any shards . But you can get a long 1 1/2 inch withdrawing needle if you are concerned. . You really do need a withdrawing needle . If you try to withdraw the b12 with a shorter injecting needle , you are bound to touch the glass with it , which makes the needle blunt (ouch 😫!)

I will look for one of those - hadn't a clue they existed!

And yeah, I've had a couple of times where even inserting the 25ga x .5" through the rubber twice in the 10ml vial has blunted the tip and really hurt going in the thigh (not reusing needle, just it came out as I was trying to get the last drop)

Thanks very much for the fast response and advice, I appreciate it.

You can get a blunt withdrawing needle with filter . Safety needle .

They are blunt needles

Will do! I've been looking at the ampoule cutters, by any chance do you remember the brand? There's so many different ones on Amazon.

Thanks again 👍

I’m in U.K. I see that you are in USA . I’ve looked on Amazon USA , and the ampoule cutters are quite different to mine . Mine is made of aluminium .

Ok, I'll look for one similar and some are labeled "Nurse's tools" I'll get one that accommodates the different sizes - thanks for the help!

I've used the glass ampules for many years as some of the medications I used to inject into patients still came that way. They have mostly been replaced by rubber stopper meds here since I retired. But I'm old fashioned and just flick the top of the ampule with my finger to get all the liquid down into the base then grab the top with an unopened alcohol wipe wrapper and -SNAP- I always change to a fresh needle after drawing the B12.

Grundle_Jones profile image
Grundle_Jones in reply toscnuke

I will definitely use a separate needle for drawing it - appreciate the advice.

I have ordered from apohealth.de two times in two weeks. I live in the US. I got my ampoules in just 7 days. The first time I ordered they only allowed me to buy one box of ten ampoules. Today I was limited to 3 with free shipping to the US! (I am almost skeptical that this is really going to happen) I was paying $40 to US from marienbrunn.de and it usually took 2 or more weeks. I highly recommend apohealth.de (looks like Wedgewood indicates they deliver to UK)
