Help! Where can we buy B12 ampoules?

Sorry, I'm sure this has been answered already and I did try a search, but couldn't find answers. I just tried to order my latest supply of 100 ampoules of B12 from versandapo.de, and it's all different! No English on there and my ancient school-girl German wasn't up to translating any of it. I then tried to find ampoules on Amazon but with no luck. Please - panicking here - where do we buy the stuff from now?

I bought last batch from mycare.de but versandapo is cheaper, especially on delivery.

mycare.de

Information on how others ordered from versandapo.de below:

Unfortunately versandapo.de has changed hands , and the new site does not appear on English . I emailed them asking if they were going to do a site in English , but they never replied . This pharmacy is certainly the cheapest for B12 ampoules . The shipping ( by courier) costs €9.00 no matter how many you order . I notice that they often run out of B12 ampoules . At the moment 100 cost €52.00 , and are in stock , but they are out of packs of 10. Apparently if you get the chrome app and use it to search for versandapo.de ( using the full site address htpps etc ) it will translate for you into any language .

You can get mycare.de in English , but shipping costs €17.00 even if you only buy a pack of 10 .

Hope you succeed in getting your B12 ampoules . Get in touch if you can’t . There is a way around this .

I have used the amazon.de site in the past for ordering low quantities of b12 ampoules. There is an language option menu at the top by the sign in section. Just under the magnifing glass button on the search bar. This I think is the cheapest option for hydroxocobalamin if you only are able to get a pack of 10 at a time:

amazon.de/B12-Depot-Rotexme...

You should be able to login with a uk amazon account. I paid 19 Euros including shipping (7.68EUR.)

They also seem to be selling 10 packs of 10 ampoules bundled. As to whether this is cheaper in bulk than mycare.de or the others after shipping; I am not sure.

bdole2018, thank you so much for the information about buying on Amazon as versandapo.de are out of stock for their 10 pack bundle (but not single packs) and Apotalis mail order pharmacy through Amazon will not supply single packs to the UK but will supply 10 packs! Means I can stop panicking as I have been injecting every day and thought I might have to space this out a bit!. So thank you again for the info and link.

Strange, I placed an order a few days ago for a single 10-pack and it's been shipped. There are several pharmacies offering that product for sale though so at least one should ship to UK. Obviously; if you can bulk order a 100-pack of ampoules then that's going to be cheapest and best option long-term.

My opinion though if someone was in a pre-existing situation where they had to administer every few days or every day and they couldnt afford to buy 100 ampoules in bulk at that time: It would be better to pay a bit more per ampoule and get something rather than interrupt their treatment.

Methylcobalamin by injection seems to be more difficult to obtain though. Most european suppliers of hydro don't seem to carry it.

In the U.S. you can only get them from a pharmacy with a prescription from a doctor. They are as regulated as opiods or cancer drugs.

Indeed with regards to supply in person at a US pharmacy. They are not classed as a controlled substance however. So importation remains a grey area. Veterinary b12 used to be a very popular way of getting it without prescription though: I think most people have switched to importing it instead. Cyanocobalamin remains popular in the USA amongst Doctors for some inexplicable reason.

Hi, I followed the advice given by others and downloaded Google Chrome and Google Translate using both of these I was able to order from Versandapo as I previously did under the old owner. The only problem I found was I couldn’t put my order through using my original details and my Visa card, but had to use my husband’s Paypal account. I am intending to email them (using Google Translate, as I don’t speak German) but haven’t got around to it yet, so can’t say if it’s possible to pay using visa. I received my order without any problems whatsoever. Good luck.

I remember mycare wanted paypal for the first order if you had a non-german credit/debit card. Presumably to deter chargeback fraud. They also sent me a free pen and a "medication review" form in German which I obviously decided not to fill in as it's really only meant for Germans.

Thank you all so much for this - really appreciate it. It seems versandapo are still out of stock of 100 ampoules, so I'm holding on for a bit and hoping they get them back in stock soon - so much more expensive buying in small quantities, especially with postage to UK. But if I run out (another three weeks' supply left at the moment) I'll have to do this. Thank you all again for your help! xxxxx

No problem. I've just ordered 100 Rotexmedica Hydroxocobalamin 1mg/1ml ampoules off Amazon.de : amazon.de/Vitamin-Depot-Rot...

It came to £60 including postage to the UK. It might be cheaper somewhere but not by much to be honest at 60p per ampoule.
