Hi all as some may have seen previous posts from myself relating hair loss... I have a phone call from a nurse practitioner who said my ferritin was perfect at 70 and vit d was also perfect at 50 and that i dont need supplements Amy more. She then said she would do another blood test as these results were from november 21. She said she would do b12... I told her that was pointless because I've just had my injection 2 weeks ago. To which she said well it will be done because it hasdnt been since 2020. I also asked about a hormone test to which she said that hormones dont really play a role in hair or skin problems :0 I mean come on, really???
So anyways when i go for bloods am I withings my rights to say I refuse to have my b12 done??
Theres not a cat in hells chance I'm having them think it's high and to stop me having them.

My dr has done exactly the same ! It is common sense our levels are going to be high when we are injecting B12.
I too wondered if I would get a call from the surgery saying my levels are high so we are going to stop your injections - nothing would surprise me these days.
Yes you can refuse - Point them to the guidelines where it states ( once on therapy there is no need to retest ) infact you could copy and past and send to your gp. Good luck
Thanks for the replies. I dont fancy rescheduling as it's a nightmare to get an appointment sometimes. I think I'll just tell the nurse who does them that I dont wish to have the b12 one done. I'm not sure which other ones shes doing.
