Is it at all possible to hit a capillary when injecting Victoza? My sister gave herself the shot and within 4 min she was dizzy, shaky, sweaty and vomited. Her blood sugar was very low too, all within minutes

PMNurse...I think you may have posted on the wrong forum. This forum is concerned with Pernicious Anaemia and B12 deficiency.
My understanding is that Victoza is a prescription only medication for use by type two diabetics (used to lower blood sugar) - if your sister is not a diabetic, then she shouldn’t be injecting this - and it’s only for use under direct medical supervision.
You could try posting your question in this HU community...they may be able to give you more advice:

Irrespective of whether your sister hit a capillary or not...Victoza acts to lower blood sugar...which may be potentially dangerous for both diabetics and non-diabetic because it can lower sugar levels to dangerous levels. It symptoms persist then it would be advisable to seek swift medical advice. Giving something sweet will help where blood sugar is low - but to be safe, this should be done in conjunction with seeking medical advice if symptoms do not improve quickly...or get worse.
I'm going to close your post to further replies since it’s unlikely that members of this forum can provide more in the way of advice.
Good luck...and please do seek swift medical advice if your sister's symptoms persist or get worse.
