Recent bloods done, need help interpreting the results.

Hi.

Just had my bloods done (full thyroid & TRT), but need some help interpreting the results.

Only thing that stands out is folate levels comes back low as well as vit D. I'm currenly taking 800mcg folate, and 1000iu of vit d daily.

Have noticed some symptoms; slightly sore tongue, and some slight tingling around the body (espcially in the armpits).

Ferritin is kinda low, but I have been donating blood recently so may explain that (I'm currenly supplementing iron & vit c).

Note: a couple years back I had a proper B12 test taken at one of the main London hospitals, and my homocystein(sp?) came back rather high. I've lost the results, but that is the only thing that they were concerned about.

Thanks,

Tony.

Folate and Vitamin D are right at the bottom of where they should be. Which is suprising if you're taking that much in supplements.

I presume you're taking a lot of B12 to get your level that high.

Hi. No, wasn't taking any supplements before the test (only some iron due to donating blood). Only been on folate and vit d for a few weeks now.

I took my last B12 shot a while back (prob around Oct 2019), but nothing since then.

Why are you having b12, were you deficient before injections as your b12 seems extremely high for an active level?
