Hi everyone and thanks again for this excellent forum! I have had full blood tests (b12 was 240) and have just had my private results for homocysteine 11.7 umol/L and MMA 0.13 umol/L. Anybody care to interpret these results as they appear to be within 'normal' range? Many thanks in advance.... Tom

They are, indeed, below the threshold for a 'high' result. That means that your cells are getting the right amounts of B12 and folate.
Thank you very much fbirder, I will go back to the GP and look at other causes of my neuro symptoms.
There are many possible causes of peripheral neuropathy. Best bet is to see a neurologist who can do a load of tests.
How high is homocysteine to be a concern? above the reference range or at the top of it? Mine was 15. The top number on the reference range. Or by high do you mean way above the reference range? It increased 8 points in 8 months when my neuropathy started to get very bad. Thank you.
Hi Tom, your homocysteine level is normal starts from 8 to 15. best of luck.
