I have underactive thyroid and very low vit d I also have carpul tunnel in both hands , My b12 was 231 (211-911) gp said it's fine . My folate was good but don't know ferritin. Since my blood test in march I now have a numb little toe and have for no reason torn my calf muscle . Do you think these could be due to low b12 ?

little toe could be B12 - not sure about the torn muscle - not something I would expect.
Serum B12 is a long way from being a good guide to B12 deficiency - people vary a lot in how B12 in serum relates to whether they have enough for cells to do everything they need to do with B12 - used as a single measure it misses 25% of people who are deficient - but also picks up 5% who aren't.
Evaluating symptoms is quite difficult - suggest that you get the vitamin D sorted out and come back to B12 if that doesn't resolve the problems.
Are you taking Statins...they can wreck your muscles.
Do you mean Lansoprazole the proton pump inhibitor for acid because this causes an absorption problem with b12 as a side effect I'm afraid.
