carpal tunnel post surgery

Hi there, my friend had her carpal tunnel op almost 3 weeks ago. All her fingers had curled inwards. How long does it usually take for her fingers to straighten out after the op. Her pain level is still exactly the same - 8 cocodomol tablets daily . Her fingers still remain curled. Obviously she’s very depressed at her non-recovery.

Any help from other carpal tunnel recoverers.

Thanks for listening.

Annie.

How long have other people taken to recover after this op?

That doesn't seem right to me I had both left and right carpal tunels done and my fingers did not cutl up . I would get your friend to call the hospital secretary and ask to see the doctor. I was given a set of exercises to do and when I went to my GP for a check up he was going to remove the stitches until I showed him the letter from the hospital

Thank you for that info. I thought that the ct op should fix her bent fingers and take away the pain. This doesn’t seem to be happening though.

Carpal tunel is done when you have pins and needles in your little and finger next to it . Sounds more like you have osteoarthritis
