What's best to unclog my ear?
I use Otomize and it`s really good.
I use olive oil and put cotton wool in as helped in the past. Clive X 🤗
That would be good. I just need cotton wool.
If the wax is really bad and compacted it is best to talk to your Doctor and He will give something to soften the wax and make an appointment to clear and wash out the ears. Remember, generally when cleaning out your ears you are not supposed to use anything smaller than your ELBOW
Smaller than my shoulder? I ain't heard that before.
Hi, I feel for you, I've had this on and off for 30 years. The doctors won't help you but a solution of 6% hydrogen peroxide with baking soda with help to remove stubborn wax. Olive oil will take much longer. Hope this is of some help.
Everyone else is talking about wax, but were you actually meaning your ears are “plugged up” like what happens when changing altitude or you have something going on related to sinus or other cold-like symptoms that diminishes the sound you can hear? For that I use an ear oil which has been heated up and put several drops in one ear, stay in place with your ear up so the oil gets into your ear canal and cover it with a wad of cotton before rolling over to repeat that for the other ear. This works for ear infections and could probably help loosen some wax as well. Best wishes.
I can't really explain it but it seems better today. But thankyou though. I may use that for future reference.
That’s a very good point regarding sinus related problems Nick2U, may I ask which make of drops you use?
The one I have is called Ear Clear Oil from my local store called Elliott's Natural Foods, but I'm sure you can find something similar wherever you are. Ages ago when I was little, my mom would use something similar from the local pharmacy. She would put the bottle in a pan with water on the stove and heat it up, but the microwave works just as well in a fraction of the time. I'm pretty sure it lasted for several years.
I have used Warm Olive Oil in the past, poured into the ear canal and left for a time. Sometimes you can purchase a special machine, it looks like a minute oil drill with a sort of drill head attached that you put in Your Ear that sort of drills out the wax. You can also purchase a machine that passes water in the ear and cleans it out, it collects the discharge and water in a tiny basin attached to the water circulator. There are things you can try, the problem is if you use tissue or a pen etc you can actually perforate the Ear Drum and that can effect the hearing

I didnt know you can get devices like that for ears. I will have a look now. Thankyou.
Please don't do this yourself, it is very dangerous. You risk a perforated ear drum if you get it wrong. A specialist or a doctor will syringe your ears in a few minutes. I have to have it done every 6 months as I have very small passages.
Yes it is always better to have words with the Doctor, I last had my ears done about twenty years ago and that time it was Olive Oil to loosen the Wax and when softened the GP used an ear wash machine to clear the Wax. Since then I have not had any problems. However I do understand the more you try and clean them the more wax will form. and the process may need to be repeated.

Hi, I get same trouble...get a oil spray and spray in ear once a day, should help the build up of wax,
Earol Olive Oil Spray or Sodium of Bicarbonate Drops Eardrops.
With the Bicarbonate put the drops in then lie on your side for 20 minutes to let it run right down to your eardrum. Do this twice a day for seven days. Time consuming I know but it worked for me.
Once cleared I use Earol Spray once a week to keep the wax soft.
If the wax is persistent you may need to have your ears syringed or microsuctioned.
When all these products are put in the ear, oil and stuff, where does it take the wax? Down deeper into the ear?
Hi, I have the same problem and told to use Ear Calm.
