chronic pain all over body

Hi, my niece is in chronic pain all over her body, she has fibromyalgia, hs, scoliosis and much more, the doctor and hospital have given her all the pain medication, oramorph, gabapentin, codein, mst, but she is still in chronic pain, is there another pain medication they could try? we know something is very wrong as there seem to be symptoms which have not been diagnosed as yet.

I also suffer with fibromyalgia and also chronic fatigue syndrome besides copd a progressive lung disease. I hsve tried all sorts of medications since diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2002.

For the last 10 years I have been using Bu Trans morphine patches and now on a 10 and a 5

I have psoriatic arthritis and it has caused wide spread body pains so bad I was bedridden for a long time …. Has she seen a Rheumatologist if not this is what I would recommend before she starts pumping a bunch of pain pills into her body.

Has your daughter been referred to the pain management team? I found it really helped me. I have severe Osteoarthritis and three chronic pain syndromes. Medications do help but there may be other treatments which could help.

So sorry to hear this, Fibromyalgia plus Scoliosis she must be in agony. Is there a possibility she can get the scoliosis operated on? Think she needs to see a Pain Team, they can offer support, which is really important when you’re in the level of pain she’s in.

Doesn’t seem fare does it that on top of 1 condition she gets another & hs is difficult to deal with too!?
