White lump

I noticed a small “spot” on my bottom gum a few weeks. It stayed there and started going bigger but I thought nothing of it until a few days ago when spotting it’s gone soo big it’s coming inferno my teeth. What can it be!! I’m soo worried it could be mouth cancer and been reading all sorts. I’ll be going dentist tomorrow for sure

Just looks like a common lump (can’t remember name) but might need antibiotics and/or tooth needs attention. Wouldn’t think any cancer (not that I think it is) would grow so quickly.

I’ve been told this morning by my neice who is studying dentistry that it looks like an epulis. I’ve never heard of that. But images I looked at after do look like that

Hi it’s a much bigger lump and on the actual gum so I don’t think it’s that. The dentist won’t answer call!

I agree with Luna_child that to me looks like an abscess. Don’t know why your niece thinks something else but unless she has examined you and is nearly qualified I would be cautious. Whatever you need to contact your dentist. Certainly all the dentists where I live (London)are open and actually have been for a year.

Nope they didn’t call me back. I rang again and answer machine said leave a message we’ll ring back. But no call back. Ridiculous. I live in UK by the way

Did you get it looked at? I'm in the UK also and can't understand why you aren't hearing back from your dentists. Are you actually even registered with a dentists or just calling one you have previously visited? When did you last go to that actual dentists? Could they since have closed down without you realising? Go to A&E walk in doctors, they have dentists there. Or Google the number for emergency dentists. Call the emergency dentists, look on your own dentists website. They might have a emergency number on there for emergency treatment. Might be worth you calling 111 or using the 111 online service. Another option is see a pharmacist. Here's the NHS link.

Ok, so why didn't you just tell the receptionist in the beginning that it was an emergency. Where the heck in the UK roughly are you? And did you ring at 8am? Have you now received treatment or has the lump gone now?

Not what you're looking for?
