concern about a possible lump
Hi slysyx
this could be a number of things that need to be investigated, see if you can go and see your GP, any lump/bump can be scary if you are unsure, but to be on the safe side for your own peace of mind get it checked professionally, hope everything turns out good for you
take care
As Mascotty says, it could be a number of things. It could be muscular, it could be inflammation of the tissues between the ribs, it could be a lipoma which is an overgrowth of fat cells. For peace of mind definitely go to your GP, not because it is something that is serious, but because it will give you peace of mind.
I had something similar and it turned out to be a liver cyst which is a bit unusual but sorted out by a Gastro-Intestinal surgeon. I agree you need to have it looked at.
Good Luck
I’ve got a lump in a similar place. My GP put it down to a previous broken rib that didn’t heal properly. It was a bony lump.
Hi slysyx
You did the right thing getting a medical professional to examine it. They are the best people to give medical advice. I'm glad you were able to get some answers, and I hope the pain eases soon if it's causing you pain.
