Hi I have just recovered from a fibula fracture after being hit by a car in April I was wondering if anyone knew of any counselling which could help with my emotions please

Hi Hollieberrie, sorry to hear that you have been involved in an accident. I would suggest that as a first step you contact the Samaritans- they are not just there for those on the brink of suicide, and have been really helpful for me in the past.As well as the free telephone service they also offer a free email service where you can write to them and you get an email back. ( it can be helpful to write out your thoughts).

Most importantly for you, they should be able to tell you where else you could find a counselling service in your area. Counselling on NHS is something of a postcode lottery, but there might be low cost counselling available.

If you are in the UK, in addition to what Helly has said, you could ask to speak to the social prescriber (sometimes they are called care coordinators) at your GP surgery as they should have details of all the local services.
