I'm a 28 year old male and 7 months ago I woke up very suddenly in the middle of the night I went stiff breathing heavy and felt like I couldn't move It lasted for around 5 seconds then I went back to sleep ( This has not happened since) since then I have suffered with pain and discomfort in the middle and left side of my abdomen I also suffer with back and side pain on both sides. I have recently had an ultrasound done and found out I have gallstones and a fatty liver. I have never had a gallstone attack but I do suffer with pain and discomfort at the middle and left side of my abdomen would the gallstones be causing the discomfort? I have suffered with loose stools for many years and most time after eating I need to use the bathroom straight away but I have never been diagnosed with IBS (my sister and father both have IBS)The pain has never been serve I don't feel sick or ever get a fever I sleep well I haven't deteriorated over the time frame I do suffer with health anxiety and I have convinced myself I have kidney or stomach cancer nothing showed up on my ultrasound all my bloods came back normal but I have still convinced myself and I don't know what to do.

Left Abdominal Pain
Phone your GP and tell him of your anxieties , you need something to calm yourself down , even a chat with him to reassure yourself .
Hi SirNoots92.
Sorry to hear that you're having these issues. From the description and area of pain you're describing it sounds like you have Diverticulitis as I have. This is usually after having IBS for a while, but you do seem to think on your gp's say so that you don't have it. Did your GP refer you to hospital to confirm or reject IBS? I was diagnosed via the hospital when I was around 32 years old, after years of bowel issues. The least he could do is refer you to a Dietitian rather than making you suffer all this time. Try to keep a diary about what you eat, length of time before you need the loo, pain type and area and how long it lasted, as well as things like if it affected your temperature or breathing, if you became sweaty etc. Also ask to be referred to the pain clinic. This is a lengthy process but they do help. I've got 5 hospital referrals after just 7 months with the pain clinic.
Hope this helps 😍
