For past 20 days ive had on going pain in forehead and behind eyes, I also wake up in the morning with pain in this area,

I Normally get 8-10 hours sleep every night but since this started ive been getting maxium 4.

I am 25 year OLD male.

Today my right arm and hand feels weak and like ive slepped on it, Which I know is another red flag.

I spoke to doctor who thinks its sinitus, But I do no think it is, I think somthing more nasty is going on.

They have me antibodics and Naproxen Yesterday for it

Dear SickofhavingNausea,

I Fully appreciate, your concerns, however have you, at least, considered maybe.... a Cold, Chill or maybe an Allergy? Sorry but, the Pain that you are Describing, sounds rather like Sinusitis, is it Worse after a Cold Drink?

Please don't Think that I'm, in any way, 'Belittling Your- Very Genuine- Fears'.... NOT at all. I'm just suggesting some, Less Drastic, possibilities. (Maybe the 'pain', in your thumb isn't arthritis.... maybe it's because you 'clouted' it hammering😖 Do you see what I'm Driving At?)

Clearly you DO need to have this Checked, if only for your own, peace of mind. The Covid Situation may, very well, Complicate 'things' but you Should Still Call your GP.

Good Luck and I hope (and Pray) it's nothing Serious.

It can be very distressing not knowing. We like to know what is happening to us, and when we don't, that causes anxiety. So it is natural that you would be anxious about this.

However, headache alone is not usually a sign of a brain tumour. (cancer isn't the only thing that can cause a tumour, some brain tumours aren't even cancer!) There are usually other signs, in particular with regards to certain behaviours according to where the tumour is.

As for your arm feeling weak, that is more of a red flag for sleeping badly and having the nerves in your shoulder being pressed on. And it is understandable that you are sleeping badly if you have sinusitis because that pain, even if it is very little, will be enough to stop you from getting deep sleep and that is when your body heals itself.

Sinusitis can be a very painful condition, far more painful than a brain tumour, because there are no pain receptors in the brain. Yep, a brain cannot feel pain. But there are loads of pain receptors in the sinus areas of the head.

Antibiotics and naproxen are the right treatment right now, but the antibiotics might take a few days to really take effect. Especially if the infection has been there for a while. Did the doctor say when to come back if it hasn't started to get better? I would give it until the antibiotics have run out before going back. Give things a chance to work.

And I know that this isn't easy, but try to relax. The other thing there is plenty of in the head and neck and shoulder is muscles, and if you are tense, your muscles will be tense and that can cause pain too. See if you can take your mind off things with say, watching some good comedy, listening to some music, going for a walk. anything that you find relaxing and fulfilling so that you mind has something else to think about other than your pain.

i hope things get better really soon.
