Hey guys It's a bit of a long winded one, I'm getting desperate and I feel that doctors aren't listening properly so want to see if anyone has anything similar.

For the past 4 months I have been experiences various symptoms (male):

1-7 days was a tingling in pelvis and testicles

Then suddenly a burning in hips which led to a trip to A&E which got me a muscle injection that helped with the pain. (blood tests all normal)

Then my stomach started rumbling and I got muchas in my stool. I felt nauseas for about two weeks where I couldn't eat. Eventually I saw a little blood and I think I developed haemorrhoids from constipation.

Had a flu feeling but no flu, back ache.

I saw a GI specialist who said I just had lots of gas in my bowels. did an X-ray and ultra sound which said except the gas, everything was normal.

Felt very tired and achey all the time, noticed I had an out of body feeling. Hard to focus. I couldn't even go out properly without feeling dizzy or sick.

Eventually got my appetite back and stomach went more normal.

Eventually did a fecal protein test which tested for 67 (normal range 20-50) and doctors suggested ibd. Have a colonoscopy in 6 months which is ridiculous.

Have really bad backache (mainly in the neck), headaches. I would say I do feel better than before but still not too sure what is going on. Has anyone had a similar experience to this?

The main thing I want to fix is this foggy out of state feeling, not being able to focus and read properly. (had an eye test and all normal)

Thanks guys!

Are you taking any meds, long term or recent, which may be reacting together?

Prior to this I wasn't taking any meds, though I was unusually inactive which I'm not really sure has any relation

Was just a thought.

My husband has been very similar to you and we have worked out he has a serious reaction to 2 fairly common meds.

Oh that would have been ideal if the case! It did all start when I took some medicine though. Thanks for your suggestion!

Well it was all in chinese so I'm not too sure (I was abroad at the time) but I seem to remember it all kicked off with an injection for muscle pain. I also took a ton of anti inflammatory and proton pump. All very strange. I've gone off that now but still feeling ill

While it's a bit unusual for a man of your age to become anemic that is where my mind went right away. If your unable to eat adequately because of nausea you can become anemic. This can be ruled out with a simple blood test. I would also suggest that you ask/insist to have an endoscope be done at the same time you have the colonoscopy done. An endoscope goes down the throat and into the esophagus and finally into the stomach. With this they can see if maybe you have gastritis which can cause you to have problems absorbing nutrients out of food. Causing anemia.

You might have Central Sensitization Syndrome. It took me 2 years, 4 general practitioners, an internist, gastroenterologist, ear specialist and rheumatologist to get my diagnosis. I felt like I had a hangover everyday. Headache, exhaustion, dizziness. I also had big time stomach and cognitive issues. The body aches made me just want to curl up into a ball. I have been on the nerve medication Gabapentin for last couple of weeks. I finally have relief from the pain and the brain fog is clearing!
