Hi Penny,

First off please take someone with you and any coping skills you can implement then please do. Deep breathing and tapping on the chair helped me during my assessment.

Try to be as honest and genuine as you can. They are not health professionals, they are there to ask questions about how your illnesses affect your daily life.

They do this as they feel face to face gives them a better understanding. The person who you see will be very empathetic and you can choose not to answer anything you don't want to. Inbox me if you need me. I too have a mental health illness and was very nervous but I managed to get through it by using my coping strategies xx

I have only had 1 f2f since the change over and I was dreading it, although over the years I've had many Medical's to which I had many diagnosed with many things, eventually, lol I had to write them down so if anyone needed to know I could pass them a list, with these medical type persons I think if you talk to them in a nice manner they should treat you with respect and what they want to know is how your health problems effect you.

Your mental health can and possibly are effecting your everyday things.

It's a mine field now a days, I hope everything goes your way and they do a proper medical, so fingers crossed and ya toes.

What ever way it goes I'm sure there's plenty of people on here to give you some support.

Philip
