Hi,
New to the group and keen to get some help/opinions on the below.
I'm a 33 yr old male who for the first time suffered a panic attack in the summer of last year. The doctor said it was a case of my body telling me to slow down having been under a lot of pressure both personally and professionally that year. I went on to have 3 more attacks before seeking help through a therapist.
My main issue is that i have an abundance of physical syptoms that come with the stress/anxiety in the form of upper tense back, chest pains, stomach ache and tension headaches.(i dont get to the panic attack stage anymore) Ive had blood tests, stool samples, ecg, heart scans , ultrasounds and an xray and all came back clear.
I am making changes personally in diet and drinking habits and seeking a change of direction in my career as this is something i feel has been a contributing factor to the stress and my therapist said burnout could be playing a part too.
I just feel like i am not getting anywhere at the moment and that i am constantly questioning my health and seeking answers that ultimatley arent there. Its tiring and beginning to get me down.
Doctor has asked me to considor medication in the form of an anti anxiety/depressent but not sure thats what i want to do.
Has anyone else experienced the same?
Thanks in advance
