Need real life reviews and stories of people going there?

I was allowed into st Thomas one as I’m not independent enough 😡

I thought the point of it all was to help you become independent again help with pain help with life

I noticed you have posted this question several times.

When I lived in Scotland people would be sent to Bath....a round trip of around 600 miles.

I have email some contacts I still have in Scotland to see if they can answer you

Thank you so much, I just can’t seem to find actual peoples experiences and I don’t want to travel even further than London to get there and be told the same thing , which in reality they could of taken 5 mins over to phone to ask me a few questions and would of figured out I wasn’t right for them lol

So I need to know if bath is for people who need more help or they were just saying that to palm me off

I know someone who went because London couldn't offer what he needed. He was independent but his mum stayed with him so potentially someone could go with you to help you. Why don't you call them to discuss your situation? I'm sure they can then tell you if you are suitable or not.

I have a child so the only person who could stay with me needs to look after my child.

I did that both St Thomas and bath said i had to go for the assessment they won’t do it over the phone 😡

I understand that they can't do full assessment over the phone but surely they could at least tell you that if you got accepted could anyone help you. I know on St Thomas website it says you need to be independent so Bath will have a criteria and could tell you over the phone if you met it. It is worth calling them, nothing to lose but a lot to lose if you get there and they tell you that you need to be independent. I would be interested to hear what they say. Good luck 🤞

I had a look at their website and it says that if you are not independent then they admit you to the ward rather than the self catering flats.
