I’ve been having chest pains for the best part of a year now!! Sometimes for weeks on end. I’ve had ECG’s, CT scan with dye, Chest X-rays - the works & everything comes back fine!! 🤷🏻♂️
I am being treated for GERD (gastro-esophageal reflux) and also been put on medication to help with anxiety but, nothing helps the chest pain!!
It’s really starting to drive me out of my mind as at times, when they’re really bad I get the whole “fear of impending doom” feelings!! I tell myself I’ve had the tests and they can’t find anything but it doesn’t help!! Not really been given much advice on the physical symptoms of anxiety and just how severe they can be & don’t really like to do the whole “Dr Google” thing as you can get swallowed up by that very quickly!!

Have you gone to a heart specialist, have you been put on a heart monitor for 24 hours or more. Have you tried to cut back on coffee or any other types of food that could be upsetting your system.
I remember my husband had a problem and he started coughing so bad that he would pass out and so he went to a heart specialist to find out what was going on with him. They didn’t find anything. Come to find out my neighbor said to me that it sounds as if he has whooping cough and that is what he had. You know it could be something so simple but you never know maybe it’s time to go to another doctor for a second opinion. I hope you find out what is going. Good luck
Sorry you are struggling. Could it be costochondritis? Hope you get the answers you are looking for
I have suffered the same and it's maddening. I kept being told me heart was fine and given a basic diagnosis of costochondritis. Finally, my psychiatrist ordered bloodwork to check vitamin D levels because that can contribute to the depression and anxiety I was also having. I was severely deficient. A normal, healthy level is 50. Mine was 4. After starting on a high Vitamin D3 dosage my doctor recommended, that pain in my chest went away and never came back as long as I keep my vitamin D levels where they should be. From my research, chest pain in the bones and cartilage is one of the first and most overlooked signs of deficiency.
I highly recommend you ask for yours to be checked.
I think it sounds like a combination of you're GERD and anxiety. I have had anxiety all my life and what you described, the chest pain and fear of impeding doom is something I've had many times. I suggest you try meditation and if that doesn't help get a referral to a psychologist. All the best. Lola
Thanks Lola... I just can’t get my head around how the physical symptoms of anxiety can be so intense and cause such severe pain!!
So sorry to hear what ur going through..I was in a similar boat and it took forever to diagnose me. For me.. I needed a pace maker at a younger than normal age. Maybe u have a combo of things going on..but either way... I hope u get the answers u need
See a McTimony chiropractor. Your chest muscles may be too tight and need loosening. You may have postural issues. See an Alexander Teacher for advice and help on this.
