I also have slipping rib syndrome, for 3 years now. They don’t seem to know what to do about it. I’ve had pain injections and various pain killers but nothing seems to work.
I can only say that it’s better when I rest and am inactive, I just live with it now.
I know that this is not a lot of help, they did say that it can just go.

Have you seen an osteopath? My osteo has treated slipping rib syndrome - Find a good one with lots of experience - they are worth their weight in gold!
Some doctors are supportive of osteopaths, some are dismissive of them and say it is just "alternative therapy" - But it is not like crystals or energy lines, it is more like physiotherapy - they are experts in physiology and do years of intensive study of medical conditions and manipulation. In my experience they are way better than the average doctor at muscular skeletal stuff, who are just not that specialised - Find one that has a good few years of experience as slipping rib syndrome is not that common as I understand it. Good luck!
