Just had the pain team injections but no joy still in as much pain as before I give up as nothing seems to work

Sorry to hear that, what a blow.

I haven't had any, but have heard that they work for some but not others.

A friend was told it's 50/50 so he wouldn't know until he tried. His appointment is next Wednesday.

Tec2tec, how long so ce you had them ?. I find its about a week to 10 days before they work properly. The steroid reduces inflammation which is our body's response to hurt or damage.

The inflammation doesn't disappear just like that. The leaflets say a few days but my experience is longer.

Thanks it’s now been 12days saw my doctor he is putting me on pregaberlin

That's what my friends doctor just started him on as he was finding it impossible to wait for next Wednesday appoinment (He's been waiting month's since he was seen in pain clinic). He used to take Morphine but it wore off after half an hour.

I've had injections for many years now none of them really helped I've had the burning of the nerves in my lower back that didn't help I'm on pain medicine oxycodone 15 mg four times a day and morphine 30 mg time release ER tablets two times a day and that helps but does not solve the problem but they was wanting that put a black box that has low electrodes that shot your nerves into my back and that's my last option and I'm not going that route but I hope you get some kind of relief my reply
