Hi Birdlady, what Arthritis have you been diagnosed with, I’m only asking because there could be different types of medication, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and pain killers I take for my pains, is as follows, morphine, paracetamol and tramadol, I also take others for specifics. I do have austeo arthritis and my pain killers helps with that and other pains for other things I was diagnosed with. Good luck.

Hi there I am interested in the medication you are taking for your Rheumatoid Arthritis, I am on morphine patches for mine but my doctor took me off tramadol and put me on the patches instead, the reason I am asking is that I have been told it's dangerous to take both of these medications together as they could cause convulsions.

Just wondered if you had heard the same thing, I would be very interested to know if you have had any side effects, such as light headedness or nauseousness

Hi, I’m on morphine patch 35mg.

I’m on tramadol, as and when needed I take sulfazalezine and methotrexate 7.5 mg once weekly. I have a lot of meds’ for different illnesses.

I think the peers that be are possibly getting rid of Tramadol. I might be wrong so check it out first.

Thanks for that Phillip, I have a number of tramadol from when I was on them last, some days I find I am unable to stand upright my pain is so bad, I have to sit and rest for a number of hours until it goes off, I haven't taken any of the tramadol because of the roumours about convulsions but it is good to know that someone is taking both them and using patches, my patches are 20 ml not as strong as yours

Sounds like your going through the mill and got stuck in it like me lol, I was asked by my mum many years ago what is pain, she had never been in pain and it was a good question, I said it’s something like childbirth, ok she said lol I didn’t have any pains from childbirth, I said oh, lol, I can’t tell you then I replied, I gave up lol.

What do you say to that lol.

I was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia the week before Christmas 2014, and I have so many more pains I don’t know where they come from, I can only say from my brain , I now have Arteritis as a result of my hundreds of tias small strokes and I didn’t know about them until I had a few scans on my nogin. Lol, but pain is evil and if you have never known pain, then how do you discribe it to them. ? Lol

Ask your doctor for some diclofenac topical gel. Helps a lot. Took the swelling down to.
