I assume you are talking about oral steroids. Even short courses can affect bone density and increase the chances of osteoporosis. I hope you have been warned sufficiently.

I was given 4 months treatment for alopecea and thought it was the best thing that happened to me as my back pain virtually disappeared. Then came crunch time when I had to stop.

May I ask what condition you are being prescribed them for ?

hi they havnt realy pinpointed to anything had loads of blood test came on all of asudden after a week in devon dont know if it was a lot of things happening in a short space of time but i felt fine in myself reasnobley active walking my dog then suddenly couldnt move couldnt dress couldnt get out of bath up the stairs had both carpol tunnels done which helped a lot

So it's a short term emergency measure ? Steroids can also produce feelings of euphoria so be prepared for a bit of a crash. I am not meaning to depress you but it's from my own experience.

I was physically active in a way my spine couldn't really accommodate and I do wonder if it has contributed to my chronic debilitating pain now.
