I have been diagnosed with ovarian cyst that have to gone away. I am 39y/o, 7 years ago I had a total hysterectomy, leaving my ovaries intact. Recently it was discovered my right ovary is on a steady track of growing. It is approximately 4 cm. Not big I know but I do have pain. Dr has given me the option to have them removed. My pain goes into my groin area, into my thigh, my hip and sometimes into my rear end. I also get what I think is referred pain up in my shoulder. I feel gassy a lot of the time also. Ibuprofen doesn't seem to help much so I don't bother taking any. The pain comes and goes. I felt fine for 3 weeks, then these party 4 weeks have been more consistent. How long do you deal with this until you finally decided enough is enough?? I'm going back this week because I reported additional pain to my Dr so I'm having another ultrasound done to see where it stands now.
One more thing, this week I have also developed a new pain that I don't know is related to the cyst. Right side, below ribs and into my back. Pain comes on all of a sudden and makes me feel really nauseous, hot, sweaty. Within a few minutes, it goes away just as sudden as it came. I don't know if this is bowel related or what. Any ideas?
