Hey y'all! (Yes, I'm from the Deep South...Louisiana to be exact ๐). I have constant Fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis, and back and neck issues. Lately (I'd say the last few months), I've been experiencing left hand, fingers, and arm numbness and tingling. So aggravating! I forgot to mention it to my dr this week. I had carpal tunnel release on my right hand about 20 years ago. I was a paralegal and typed all day, everyday. I stopped working about 8 years ago due to the fibromyalgia pain. It feels like they've all fallen asleep, that numbness and tingling feeling. It's pretty much a constant problem. Anyone have any idea what this might be? Thank you in advance for your response.

Hi sweetie yes that tingling and numbness is caused by your fibromyalgia and was wondering if your on any meds for like nerve damage? I would suggest amitriptyline if you can't get that where you are let me know and I can tell you what is the same that you can get where you are. I also have the intertistial systitis and C-diff also have nonuniun in both my wrists. That's when you hVe permanent breaks that don't heal. I also have painfull bladder syndrome and my T7 and T8 are bulging and compressed in my spinal cord and I have post herpetic neuralgia. I know how you feel sometimes it's hard to go on!! What I would suggest for you is hydrocodone 5mg 4 times daily and amitriptyline 50mg 2 tabs and at bedtime and diclofenac . I would also suggest some deep tissue massage. And maybe some heat therapy. Best of luck honey! All my love From Sherish Hope
Thank you for your help. I am on gabapentin, opana er and percocet. I'm going to see a new, highly recommended urologist Tuesday, so hopefully he will be able to help with the IC. I'm also on Prozac, Seroquel and Klonopin for depression/anxiety. And finally, I'm on several meds for migraines. I do use a heating pad for my back, neck and bladder. I'm a bit scared of a massage because of the pain it may cause afterwards. Thank you again for your input. ๐๐
Sorry to read of your tingling and numbness problems in your hand and arm. Two other possibilities are that the carpal tunnel has returned as it can and also it's caused by your back and neck problems!. Have you had an MRI scan?. You can have splints that would help symptoms in your wrist and arm but you need to find out possible causes first. Hope it improves soon as must be aggravating and painful. X
Thank you for your input. I haven't had an MRI of my left arm and hand. I see my PCP on Thursday and will mention it then. I appreciate your support. ๐
