Copping or not ?

Today is a bad day for me I'm in agony I've had my morphine and that doesn't touch it . I'm thinking I may have fibromyalgia, I have really bad pains in my hands and my ankles it hurts so much to move or walk . I hardly slept again last night I can't cope this is no life I really can't live like this I'm so down .

Hello I also take morphine when pain gets really bad, but, it does not work for me. I spent several years like you in agony, unable to hardly move let alone walk. My Dr could find nothing wrong. It was when Fibromyalgia was not heard of back then. I paid to see a specialist who after a full examination, diagnosed Fibromyalgia. I have had it on and of for years, once you get it, you have it for life, unfortunately. The flares up can vary, from mild to chronic. I think you should see your Dr. as you sound depressed, and as we all know us pain sufferers the two go hand in hand. I hope you get some relief soon.

Chronic means long term not severe. You've already said that Fibromyalgia is with you for life and that's what chronic is. I know it can get confusing at times with all different words flying around but just in case you use the wrong wording to describe something, I thought I'd gently correct you 😊

I understand pain & drugs...

I am recovering from Opthamolic Shingles! This has been the most painful experience I've have ever been through!

Morphine & Dilatid(spelling?) makes me sick. I have to make sure I have food in my tummy & I can only take 1/2 doses on Norco. This is the only way I have been surviving my headaches. This of course along with my Gabapentin & Baclofen!

This ordeal started November 28! And still on antibiotics & antivirals! Third course...my doctor said I was the first patient that he had to prescribe a 3rd course of antivirals to. WILD!

Please stop this ride, I want to get off!!!

morning, I hope your pain is a bit more bearable today. Yesterday must of been pain attack as I had unbearable pain shooting down the spine but it eased off by late afternoon. This morning although pain is there bloody lingering I'm coping.

Stay strong as I'm sure I can speak for us all on here, that were here for you or anyone else who wants to scream at pain. x

My pain is worse this morning my husband had to help me sit up to take my Meds. Every movement is agony my pain is throughout my whole body and I'm so stiff I can hardly move . There will be no table top dancing for me tonight. Thanks for listening Granny5 x

I'm sorry to hear your still in so much pain again.

No there's no table dancing for me either but I will be having a glass of wine 🍷 and probably fall asleep before the year ends so I'll be one of the 1st to wish you and your family all the best for the new year

Hi, we all know how much your hurting with the pain and please kick and scream with us as much as you like. But you must get to your doctor and ask for more tests and to find some pain relief that works for you.

Please don't think your suffering in silence were with you and alot of people will be the same as you so hopefully they'll give advice on their meds. I've had morphine and it didn't work for me so I got stronger pain killers which didn't work. Then I went on co-codamol and voltarol cream, at first they worked great but every now and then I change to tramadol and patches just to break the cycle that my body gets use to. But that's my body suffering. And your pain will be worse than mine and anyone else's, its how we suffer.

Don't be afraid of calling an emergency doctor out if you can't tolerate your pain and if you're as low as you sound love the Samaritans will help just phone them you'd be surprised how helpful they are, they helped me through and I was screaming at them.

So please stay strong and remember were here with you and if you need that voice Samaritans are there for you also.

I have fibromyalgia and sometimes nothing works how ever diazepam dies relax my muscles . Get some vitamin D and stay away from acidy and starch foods try to go dairy free as much as u can I.e. Milk . Normal milk was a killer for me . Speak to ur doc ask to see a consultant
