Neck pain : Hi I woke up on Saturday morning... - Pain Concern
Neck pain
If the pain continues i suggest seeing a doctor as soon as you can. Try moving your neck small amounts untill it hurts just to keep the joint moving, do not keep it still for long periods of time unless it is way too painful or you will have troubke getting out of it being stiff too. X
Have you tried massaging it gently. Or applying heat and cold alternately for five to ten minutes each time. These may give some relief until you get to a Doctor.
If you're ok with ibuprofen (Nurofen et al) you could try that for pain relief. Don't take more than 400mg and drink loadsawater.
Good luck. Let us know how you get on.
have you tried a hot water bottle under your neck. or massaging your neck with your fingers. or even ice packs. it seems as if the muscles have tensed up. you could go to the doctor and sees what he says. some people i have heard who get this have to get an injection into their necks. can you look in the mirror and see if your head is slightly tilted to one side. i'v read about this. its called Torticollis, its not serious but it might not be that but usually your head is tilted to one side. if it is you may need to see a chiropractor. but maybe your doctor could also fix it. i hope you find out what it is and get some relief love grace xoxoxo
Is there anyway this could be what they used to call a 'crook in your neck?
get pain freeze from pound shop its fab I use it on all joint pain but must say go see a doctor
See the GP fast. Neck pain can be a symptom of something serious. Meningitis springs to mind.
