Just had a phone call from hospital. This is a referral appointment from the ENT department. Had MRI in December and ENT sent letter telling me I had changes in the balance part of my brain. So this Sunday afternoon I will be having an appointment with neurology.

Hi Pat in wales we are having scans Saturday Sunday and evenings they reckon its because its a waste to keep the scanners idle over weekend, but as you say more to do with targets, currently the waiting list for non urgent scans is 5 weeks

Yes having said about targets I engaged brain! Many scanners are used during the day for...day patients and in patients evenings and even nights. Same reason....keep them going. Unfortunately it is often hard to get the qualified staff out of hours. Money helps.

All David's scans etc come weekends now. Even some consultans appts are weekends now.

Ours seem to do the opposite in patients daytime others slot round them
