Hi Annette - I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm sure I've seen someone say here that there's a pernicious anemia forum here on Health Unlocked. If you can find that they might be better able to answer your question?

Hi, I go to the nurse for my B12 injections and it is one single injection. Stings a bit but not that bad.

When I had B12 injections I only had a single injection every month. You say the five injections were a loading dose - loading doses are generally a much bigger dose when you start, just to get your levels right up. After that, maintenance doses tend to be smaller.
